Differences between English and Spanish.
Today we are going to know the differences between English and Spanish and its origins. Spanish was born in the Iberian Peninsula, called as a Romance language.
Below I will explain, in a simple way, the 6 main linguistic distinctions that you should know so that you don't get confused when learning the English language.
- In English most of the nouns do not have gender
This is undoubtedly one of the most marked differences between English and Spanish. In Spanish, the article confirms the gender of the noun it accompanies (e.g. 'la/una nevera', 'el/un carro', 'la/una maestra', 'el/un profesor'). In English, on the contrary, in most cases a simple 'the' or 'a' will suffice (e.g. the/a fridge, the/a car, the/a teacher).
The exception to the rule: when we use a personal pronoun to replace the noun in English (e.g. she / he). Don't forget that these types of pronouns
